Strong leadership and values, this is what our candidates for President of this wonderful country ask that we consider before we cast our vote on Nov. 2nd.

By the time you read this you will probably have already cast your vote. This newsletter is in no way intended to be political. It is, however, intended to bring a message of how values and leadership can work together to create a more harmonious vision and future.

Very often we think of leadership in terms of selection, appointment or job. In essence a leader is by its’ very nature a description of someone who has others following their lead. Not all appointments or jobs will solicit the allegiance of another’s willingness to follow them.

An individual may be in charge of a particular group, organization, or company and may not have anyone willing to follow their particular style of operating or their vision. It may simply be an exercise in forcing others to comply with their requests through a “have to” method of accomplishment based on generating fear in others.

When we are able to consider what another holds most valuable and link that value to what we, as leaders would like to accomplish we are able to have others follow our dream, our vision, our bottom line.

If the employees of a company hold their families most valuable then the leadership of that company would promote happier employees who in turn would produce a greater bottom line for that company; by linking results to the employees family life. An example might be to offer flex hours to the employees so they may work around their family’s schedules.

Whatever the situation or circumstance it becomes more productive to have an organization’s leaders understand what it takes to become part of the group that supports, follows and has a direct bearing on that organization’s future vision.
